Title: Aero View of Danielson, Connecticut 1913

Summary: View of a small industrial town located at the junction of the Assawaga River and the Quinebaug River. A large factory is located at the junction of the two rivers. A larger complex of factory buildings is in the foreground. Workers' housing lines the nearby streets. The New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad runs through town. The railroad station is near the center of town, just off Main Street, which is lined with commercial buildings and churches. Vignettes show the factories of the Connecticut Mills Co. and E.H. Jacobs Manufacturing Co. Other businesses include A.E. Meech Hardware, the Danielson Garage, and Austin & Conwell Cash Grocery. Other vignettes show churches, schools, the Bugbee Memorial Library, the town hall, and Davis Park.

Summary: Interior view of industrial building with timber trusses, joists and wood plank ceiling. Heavy metal machinery tracks at ceiling joists say, "American Pin Co, Waterville, Conn". There is a large brick central chimney and windows at back and sidewalls of room. Chains and tongs hang from wheels on ceiling tracks, some of which have buckets. Wooden barrels are on the right and various types of forms, molds and bins on the left. Inscription on back: "Interior of American Pin Co. ca. 1905"

Summary: Industrial masonry factory complex connected by overhead walkway. Building on right has smokestacks, skylights, fire escape and tower with railed flat roof and circular windows. Building on left with battlement top and tower with peaked roof. Dirt road in front with poles and wires, rail fence and two children standing near fire hydrant. Inscription on back: "No. 24. Summary: Industrial complex of masonry factory buildings. Five-story building on left with tower is probably part of the Stone Mill. Two smokestacks at right may be part of what is probably the Belding Silk Mill. Center of image is a cupola and several buildings have rooftop skylights and metal chimney shafts. Street in front has utility poles, picket fence and bridge going over the Hockanum River. Right side of street has decorative iron fence connected to a picket fence. At left in background are groups of houses. Inscription on back: "No. 4 / Stone Mills and Balden [sic] Silk Mill / Rockville Conn." "right side Stone Co. light [coll?]. Left brick. Slate roof."

Sessions & Son Manufacturers of Trunk Hardware, Sessions Iron Foundry, E. Ingraham Company Clock Manufacturers, Bristol Brass & Clock Company, N.S. Birge & Son Manufacturers of Knit Underwear, Wallace Barnes Spring Manufacturer, and S.E. Root Clock Trimmings. Houses with outbuildings are on the outskirts of the city. These include the residences of J.H. Sessions, W.E. Sessions, Wallace Barnes, W.H. Nettleton, and others. The locations of Forestville, Polkville, and Copper Mine are indicated.
